Time Limits

There may be a limit on how long you have to make your application. This varies depending on whether you are making an original or review application.

Review applications

Many review applications allow you 28 days from the date of a decision, to apply to SAT. However, where an enabling Act imposes a different time limit, this is the one that applies.

You can use the SAT Application Form to check the time limit that applies to your application. If your application is outside this time limit, you can still lodge an application and request the issue of being out of time be dealt with before the application proceeds.

Original applications

Many original applications to SAT do not have time limits. However, use the SAT Application Form to check whether a time limit applies.
