Justice Kathleen Glancy
President, State Administrative Tribunal
Justice Glancy studied at the University of Western Australia, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 1994.
In 1994 she commenced as an articled clerk at the Crown Solicitor’s Officer. She worked at that Office, which later came to be known as the State Solicitor’s Office, until December 2017, at which time she held the position of Deputy State Solicitor.
Her Honour served as a judge of the District Court of Western Australia from January 2018. She was appointed as a Deputy President of the State Administrative Tribunal in October 2020.
Justice Glancy was appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia on 29 January 2024.
Her Honor commenced a five-year term as the President of the State Administrative Tribunal on 4 June 2024.
Judge Henry Jackson
Deputy President, State Administrative Tribunal
Judge Jackson was appointed as Deputy President of the State Administrative Tribunal for a five year term commencing on 31 January 2022. He was also appointed to the District Court of Western Australia commencing on the same day.
Prior to his appointment, Judge Jackson had practised in both Melbourne and Perth, first as a solicitor and, from 2007 as a barrister. From 2010 he practised from Francis Burt Chambers. His Honour was appointed Senior Counsel in 2019.
His Honour graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws. His Honour also holds a Masters of Public and International Law from Melbourne University.
Judge Fiona Vernon
Deputy President, State Administrative Tribunal
Judge Vernon studied law at the University of Western Australia, graduating with honours in 1984. From 1985 to 2010 Judge Vernon practiced in Perth as a solicitor.
In March 2010 Judge Vernon joined Francis Burt Chambers where she practised as a barrister until December 2017. Whilst in practice Judge Vernon worked principally in the areas of commercial litigation and vocation regulation.
Her Honour was appointed as a Judge of the District Court of Western Australia on 9 January 2018. After 6 years sitting primarily in criminal matters, Judge Vernon commenced a 5-year term as Deputy President of the State Administrative Tribunal on 7 February 2024.
