Under the Cemeteries Act 1986, SAT can review decisions by the relevant cemetery Board to cancel or suspend a funeral director’s licence for the conduct of funerals at a cemetery.

Under the Cremation Act 1929, SAT can review decisions by the medical referee to refuse to issue a permit for the cremation of a dead human body.
